"We all had our ski masks....

............And sawed off shotguns
But how do you plan for
A bank full of nuns
But I guess we panicked
We all have taboos
And they were like zebras
They had us confused.....

......And I don't need attitude
'Cause you knew just what to do
We all did our best now
We all need to rest now
Leave me alone
There's no need to phone..."

The group of choice on the long drive on the infamous Route 24 between Maumee and Defiance to the "Marching Band Spectacular" at Defiance High School.  Thankfully no getting lost last night (the band director Mapquest-ed and sent a map home with the members for clueless parents)  The drive down was nice, cuz it was still daylight, but the hour and a half drive home on the twisty, unlit and in some parts un-"LifeLight"-ed road, was stressful,  until a large SUV ended up in front of me, blazing the trail with high beams blinding the approaching traffic.  To get an idea of the kind of road this is, you can Google Maumee, and Route 24 and you will come up with stories about how dangerous this stretch of road is because of all the semi traffic and accidents that have resulted in fatalities.

The event was cool, and worth the trip.  Our band was the largest there by far, and the only band that was cooler than ours (IMHO) was the Ohio University "Marching 110".  They are bigtime showmen (and women)  and dance and stuff like crazy both in cadence and on the field.  I have a bunch of movies that I will put on the server and post links to,  but time is short now so just a photo to give you an idea of the stuff from last night.....

The young one already at the "Race for the Cure" even, having to drag himself out of bed after not getting to sleep till probably 1:30....tonight is community band,  but I may be the only one going; he may opt to sleep instead....

In any case,  back with more later....
