As I continue to wait, I must assume that there are people of power engaged in the discussion of just this question. Is an employee with intelligence and curiosity a threat or an asset to an organization? Is a person of character who makes efforts for change and ignored, who persists and is ridiculed and derided and finally falls silent, without backbone, or with a strong sense of self-preservation?
I wait to hear what the opinions are on this and undoubtedly many other issues. There must be a great deal of internal struggle now; the principals were engaged late into the evening yesterday, and the final decisionmaker was in his office well before his normal report time this morning.....I will wait for his decision.
